The trip.

Five days in Andes and Jardín, Antioquia. You walk the farms, see the wet mill and the dry mill, cup the lots, and sit with the producer to talk price. No broker in the middle.

You go home with a coffee you can put on the menu, and a producer you can buy from again. A warehouse sample does not give you that.

Who I am

Itinerary.

• Day 1. Airport pickup. Dinner and hotel in Medellín.
• Day 2. Andes. Cupping lots available from the farms on this trip. Then the wet mill and the processes, and field work on the farm: pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
• Day 3. Dry mill in the morning. Then farm visit focused on varietals.
• Day 4. Decision cupping. Then the price talk with the producer: kilos set aside, farm price, held for 30 days.
• Day 5. Back to Medellín.
